Farncombe C of E Infant School is committed to providing a loving, nurturing and inspiring environment for everyone. We are proud of the rich, diverse community we serve and regularly celebrate the heritage of pupils. This was done most recently in as assembly in June 2022 when pupils who speak an additional language at home were given the opportunity to talk about this language and to show their friends some vocabulary. A display in the school hall celebrate the eleven languages spoken within our school.
Positive role models from all walks of life are referenced in assemblies and PSHE lessons as part of the Inspiration section of our mission statement.
In April, May and June 2022, the ‘Little People, Big Dreams’ books were read to all pupils featuring Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King and Ada Lovelace. The story of Rosa Parkes was examined during Black History Month in October 2022. Pupils are constantly reminded to love their neighbour and to use their God-given talents to achieve to the best of their ability.
