Although we are a church school, our admissions is through Surrey County Council. (This is because we are a controlled, not an aided church school and our funding comes directly from Surrey.)
Please note that for children born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013 the closing date for applications is January 2017. Tours for prospective parents take place each Monday and Tuesday through the Summer and Autumn terms. Please phone the school office on 01483 424933 and speak to Ginny, Val or Caroline to arrange your tour.
Traditionally our catchment area has been very small (one of the smallest in the whole of Surrey – under 400 metres ‘as the crow flies’). However, since our expansion two years ago from an intake of 40 to one of 50, our catchment area is now much larger. You may hear rumours that a Farncombe place is hard to obtain, but it is actually much easier now! The governors and staff at Farncombe are delighted with this change to admissions and now feel that we are able to serve the full community of Farncombe, reaching families living all around the village. We remain a popular school, thanks to our excellent academic results and pastoral care.
Details about applications, together with a list of all the county council primary schools in Surrey is available through the Surrey website – a link to this website is listed below. (Surrey have asked us to make the following statement: Surrey County Council is the admission authority for this school. To find up to date information about the school’s admission arrangements and details on how to apply, either as part of the normal intake or during the school year, please use this link to the Surrey County Council website.)
