‘In my Father’s house there are many rooms…’ John 14:2
Although we are a church school, our admissions is through Surrey County Council. (This is because we are a controlled, not an aided church school and our funding comes directly from Surrey.)
Please note that for children turning four between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 the closing date for applications is January 2022. These children will start school in September 2022. Tours for prospective parents usually take place each Tuesday and Friday through the Summer and Autumn terms. Usually parents would be asked to phone the school office on 01483 424933 and speak to Ginny, Jules or Caroline to arrange your tour. (Try not to bring your 3 or 4 year old, if possible, so that you can focus!) Due to Covid, tours did not take place for 2021 entry. They will take place later this term, unless the current government advice changes.
Traditionally our catchment area has been very small (one of the smallest in the whole of Surrey – under 400 metres ‘as the crow flies’). However, since our expansion three years ago from an intake of 40 to one of 50, our catchment area is now much larger. You may hear rumours that a Farncombe place is hard to obtain, but it is actually much easier now! The governors and staff at Farncombe are delighted with this change to admissions and now feel that we are able to serve the full community of Farncombe, reaching families living all around the village. We remain a popular school, thanks to our excellent academic results and pastoral care.
Details about applications, together with a list of all the county council primary schools in Surrey is available through the Surrey website – a link to this website is listed below. (Surrey have asked us to make the following statement: Surrey County Council is the admission authority for this school. To find up to date information about the school’s admission arrangements and details on how to apply, either as part of the normal intake or during the school year, please use this link to the Surrey County Council website.)
